My name is Kalp Shah, and I'm a third year Software Engineering Co-op student at McMaster University.
Over the past 6 years, I've worked with various programming languages such as Java, Python, Javascript, React, C#, HTML, and Scratch. Through various projects, I’ve explored the depths of Machine Learning (TensorFlow, Unity ML-Agents), Artificial Intelligence (MediaPipe, AIML), Front-end (React.js), Database Management (Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes), iOS and Android development (Unity, Xcode), and so much more.
Listed below are a few of my personal projects that I have completed over the years. Many of these projects are game development projects, but many more can be seen on my Github page.
I'm currently pursuing many opportunities to enhance and showcase my knowledge within the domain of software development.

Apple
May 2024 ~ May 2025
As a Server Software Engineer Intern on Apple’s Health Software team for the Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Winter 2025 terms (Cupertino, California), I worked with AWS services to reduce the code-to-production turnaround time for Apple’s research clients. Through the use of AWS S3, EC2, and IAM, I developed a one-directional secure file transfer system that allows local machines on our clients’ network to autonomously transfer to AWS EC2 virtual desktops.

McMaster Automotive Resource Center
May 2023 ~ August 2023
As a research assistant at the McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC) I had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed industry partners, SmartCone and Nokia, in the development of a cutting-edge 5G-TSN test bed. Utilizing advanced machine learning algorithms, we effectively identified, analyzed, and mitigated the impact of network traffic faults, ensuring optimal performance. Additionally, I paired with General Motors to develop autonomous vehicles equipped with self-driving capabilities through leverage on ROS Noetic and sensor fusion technologies.
